For the third time, IMCS Spain has been the proud and main sponsor of the Campeonato de Cantabria for 29er and RS Feva youth sailing classes. The regattas were due to take place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September 2020 in Santander. However, due to the storm “Odette”, the Spanish meteorological services issued an orange alert for Saturday, obliging commencement of the races to be postponed to Sunday morning at 11.00 hours. Fortunately, the weather conditions allowed for proper sailing on Sunday and for the 29er class a total of 5 races could be accomplished. The RS Feva class champion was decided in 4 races.
In the 29er Class, the victory went to Victor Maruri and Rafael Gonzalez-Echegaray, who will also be representing Cantabria in the national Spanish championships next week in Valencia.
In the RS Feva, it were Ana Lan Alonso and Blanca González-Vadillo that took home the first prize.
